Mechanical Design & Industrial Engineering

Hardware that works on the outside as well as it works on the inside — ergonomic, manufacturable, and built to last.

Our Approach

#

At Kabani Tech, mechanical design is an integral part of our hardware engineering — not an afterthought. We design enclosures, housings, and mechanical systems that protect electronics, satisfy IP ratings, pass drop tests, and meet the aesthetic requirements of the end product.

Our mechanical engineers collaborate directly with the PCB team from the start of a project, ensuring that board dimensions, connector placement, thermal management, and assembly sequences are all accounted for in the mechanical design.

Common questions

Frequently Asked

01

What CAD software do you use?

We primarily use SolidWorks and Fusion 360, and deliver files in STEP, IGES, DXF, and native formats.

02

Do you manage tooling and injection moulding vendors?

Yes. We can manage the full tooling process including vendor selection, tool design review, and first article inspection.

03

Can you design for specific IP ratings?

Yes. We design to IP54, IP65, IP67, and IP68 ratings with appropriate gasket, seal, and membrane designs.

04

How early should mechanical design begin in the project?

Ideally from the first week of PCB layout. Late mechanical involvement is one of the most common causes of redesign and schedule delays.
